Description

Outskirts transports you in a circular and enemy-flooded board. Far away from traditional shoot’em ups, there’s no scrolling in the game, everything revolves around the center of the screen. Three colors are dominating the battlefield: wear one of them to be immuned against bullets of the same element. Switch between them and put down your foes to gain power and unleash powerful weapons. Killing enemies in the proper order will unlock new combos, gain bonus points or even obtain bonus score multiplier. Only the best of you will reveal their full potential by reaching the secret combos.

History

Outskirts comes from an university project done in 2014. I (Maxime Constantinian) decided to keep the main ideas and start again from scratch. I chose to collaborate with Rezo Zero to polish this game as much as possible. Early 2016, I started to work with Valentin Ducloux, the man behind the french web-chronicle "After Bit" on Gamekult website, om the sound design and the game music. A demo version will be out for everyone at the end of may 2016. The game is planned to be release in late 2016.
